Quartz Composer + Twitter + Speech synthesis
This is a little experiment I've been doing with using Quartz Composer to visuals and sonify twitter tweets. I've picked the #haiku tag to work with as I enjoy the haiku form and I think the contrast of the poetic and the machine is quite pleasing. I made this Quartz experiment into an alarm clock via iCal. Currently I'm working on the visual side to package into a screen saver. I'm also debating whether or not it cycles through old tweets or only plays the latest tweets.
